Create sustainable food wraps that make great gifts.
Beeswax wrap is a sustainable food wrap that can be reused over and over for about a year. It’s breathable and keeps food fresh for longer. Beeswax wrap is heat-activated—you can shape it around food or a bowl by heating the wrap with your hands, which softens the beeswax and creates a seal. The wraps can also be used to create food storage bags. These wraps can be purchased, but are often expensive. In this class, participants will make 3 beeswax wraps.
Participants will be provided all the necessary materials, including a limited pattern selection of 100% cotton fabrics. Participants may choose to bring their own 100% cotton fabrics, if they prefer.
As we will be using hot irons in this class, it is an adults only class. This same class is also being held on Dec. 13- please register for only one class.
If you need accommodations for this class, please contact the Library as soon as you are able to after registering.
